CitySwoon is Australia's most exciting and fast-growing dating events company, delivering smart, social, real-life dating experiences across Australia, the US and the UK. We help people meet in person, not just online. We are looking for a Marketing Specialist (Events & Digital) to drive event promotion, manage digital channels, and support our host/venue operations from Sydney.

About the role

This is a full-time, permanent role based in inner Sydney (hybrid/WFH with some in-office days as required). You will sit across events, digital marketing, and customer engagement to make sure our events are well promoted and well attended.

Key responsibilities

Event & Stakeholder Support

  • Promote and support the delivery of dating events across Sydney and other markets.
  • Liaise with hosts and venues to ensure they have correct event info and brand assets.
  • Maintain accurate internal process documentation.

Digital Marketing & Campaign Management

  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns to drive ticket sales and brand awareness.
  • Manage and optimise activity across key channels including Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads/PPC, and email/CRM.
  • Assist with basic SEO tasks for event/city pages (metadata, on-page updates, keywords to support campaigns).
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance (CTR, CPA, ROAS where relevant) and make recommendations to improve results.
  • Maintain the digital marketing "portfolio" globally of events/cities and adjust spend/priority based on performance.

Content & Social

  • Brief and/or create engaging social content to support upcoming events.
  • Respond to event-related enquiries on social and through CRM in a brand-aligned way.
  • Coordinate marketing assets with the broader team so events are promoted consistently across channels.

Research, Insights & Customer Focus

  • Assist with focus groups / attendee feedback to understand customer experience and improve events.
  • Track event performance and attendee data to spot growth opportunities.
  • Provide regular reports to management on campaign and event outcomes.

Partnerships & Community

  • Support outreach to local businesses, venues and influencers to expand event reach.
  • Help build and maintain a community feel around CitySwoon events.

About you

  • Experience in marketing and/or events in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one of: Meta Ads, Google Ads, email/CRM, or SEO.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple campaigns/events at once.
  • Tech-savvy and data-aware (able to read dashboards/reports and act on them).
  • Customer-first mindset and an interest in helping people connect in real life.
  • Team player who can both give direction to others and take direction, then work autonomously to get it done.

  • Salary: $75 to $85k base per annum (no super or commission included in the base)
  • Start: As soon as possible
