Restaurant Manager (Hands-On Role)

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant Manager to take charge of day-to-day operations in a busy, fast-paced restaurant. This is a hands-on role where you'll be leading from the front, working closely with management, kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver excellent service and a smooth-running venue.

About the Role

As Restaurant Manager, you will oversee daily operations while actively working on the floor to support your team. You'll be responsible for maintaining high standards of service, coaching and developing staff, monitoring performance, and ensuring the customer experience is always outstanding. You will also assist with rostering, stock control, and general administration, but the focus of this role is leadership through action — setting the pace and standard during service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working alongside your team during service to provide exceptional customer experiences
  • Leading, training, and motivating staff to perform at their best
  • Managing shift operations, including rosters and staff allocation
  • Overseeing quality, presentation, and speed of service
  • Handling customer feedback and resolving issues quickly and professionally
  • Maintaining compliance with food safety and workplace health standards
  • Monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and controlling costs

About You

You are a confident and organised leader with proven management experience in hospitality. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy being on the floor, leading by example. You have excellent communication skills, the ability to problem-solve under pressure, and a genuine passion for food, service, and people. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the drive to continuously improve operations are essential.
