Are you passionate about creating exceptional guest experiences and bringing events to life? We're looking for an Events Coordinator to join our dynamic Events team at the State Buildings & COMO The Treasury.

About the Role

As an Events Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting the Events Supervisor in the planning and delivery of diverse events, from intimate dinners and weddings to corporate functions and conferences. You'll manage enquiries, assist with event logistics, and provide vital administrative and financial support to ensure each event is seamless from start to finish.

Your warm and professional approach will be essential in converting enquiries into confirmed bookings, while your attention to detail and organisational skills will help deliver events of the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle and convert function and special event enquiries across our venues including sending proposals, conducting site inspections and handling signed contracts
  • Support the team with event administration, financial reporting, and documentation
  • Prepare and manage event orders in collaboration with venue teams
  • Maintain accurate client records and booking details in event management system iVvy, CRM SevenRooms as well as PMS Opera and POS Bepoz
  • Assist with payments, quotes, and general correspondence
  • Deliver outstanding client service at every stage of the event journey

About You

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Experienced in events, hospitality (1–2 years preferred)
  • Confident in building relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Tech-savvy with experience in event systems (desirable but not essential – training provided)
  • A natural communicator with strong customer service skills
