About the business

Having developed a reputation in Perth as one of the best venues in the Swan Valley, our same friendly service and award-winning menu and wines extends to our restaurant and special events portfolio.

About the role

We require an experienced and service driven Restaurant, and Events Coordinator to grow with our team and take ownership of their own portfolio. Your extensive sales experience in hospitality and knowledge of food and beverage will ensure you can manage a diverse range of events.

As the Events Coordinator you will be responsible for;

  • Sales leads and business development opportunities through networking
  • Site inspections of facilities to prospective clients
  • Respond to all requests for proposals and site visits either via phone, email or face to face.
  • Targets and Bonuses are also a part of the Salary package
  • Processing sales enquiries and event quotes
  • Actively involved in sales and marketing activities
  • Understand and execute sales targets, budgets and strategies.
  • The delivery of all events including weddings, corporate and social events

Experience and skills required:

  • Proven event sales and planning experience within the events industry
  • Proven restaurant management or extensive experience in operations
  • Effective time management
  • Booking systems proficient with the ability to process sales enquiries, quotes and invoices.
  • Hospitality & Events Management training considered favorable.
  • Wine knowledge
  • Professional presentation
  • Friendly and honest personality
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Sound knowledge of banquet operations including room set up and requirements.
  • Minimum two years' experience within a similar role
