About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scheduling Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the General Manager, Production, this is a diverse and fast paced role, responsible for the optimised staffing of our events team and production crew, the engaging of labour hire and the logistics of our day to day equipment transfers.
If you are a team player with strong interpersonal skills, the ability to multitask, love a challenge and have the initiative to meet critical deadlines, this is the role for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our Production Managers and Heads of Departments to understand event staffing requirements
- Manage timely and efficient rostering allocations bearing in mind Fair Work guidelines, and financial overheads
- Liaise with employees and labour hire staff as required, delegating shifts to optimise logistics, and meet timelines
- Take positive action to overcome problems or unplanned staffing shortages
- Support safe work practices and participate in safety improvement activities
- Maintain accurate records of labour hire
Essential skills and experience:
- Minimum of 10 years experience in operations
- Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated ability to optimise logistics and operational costs without compromising safety or quality of service
- Excellent time management and organisational skills with attention to detail
- The ability to work under pressure and multitask
- Ability to analyse and prioritise workload, be flexible and meet tight deadlines
- Thinking outside the box and embrace the challenges of problem solving
- Demonstrate awareness of and compliance with Fair Work regulations
- Proficiency in scheduling software and standard office applications
- Pride yourself on high standards and constant improvement
