The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Pre-Construction Manager / Senior Estimator to take ownership of our tendering, pricing, and early-stage project planning across a range of commercial fitout and refurbishment projects.

This is a visible, influential role where you'll work closely with clients, directors, and delivery teams to shape project outcomes from concept through to contract award. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy leading from the front, this is the ideal next step.


What You'll Be Doing


• Lead and manage the pre-construction and estimating function across multiple commercial fitout projects

• Prepare detailed tenders, BOQs and cost plans using industry-standard software

• Review drawings, scope, specifications, addendums and tender documentation

• Coordinate subcontractor pricing, negotiate rates, and build strong supplier relationships

• Provide accurate cost-planning advice during early design stages

• Conduct value engineering and risk assessments to ensure competitive and compliant submissions

• Present tenders to clients and participate in contract negotiation

• Work closely with project managers to ensure scope alignment and smooth project handover

• Drive improvements in estimating systems, processes and accuracy

• Mentor junior estimators and contribute to building a high-performance team


About You


• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or Pre-Construction Manager within commercial fitout, refurbishment, or construction

• Strong understanding of construction methodology, cost planning, and subcontractor procurement

• Confident communicator — able to lead presentations, negotiate, and build client trust

• Experience interpreting architectural, structural, services and detailed fitout drawings

• Skilled with Cubit, Buildsoft, Bluebeam or similar estimating software

• Highly organised with strong attention to detail

• Commercially astute, understanding margins, risk, and profitability

• Able to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tenders simultaneously
