Estimator role involves:

  • Managing the tender process, developing tender strategies and risk management.
  • Taking a lead role in tendering and cost planning for a variety of projects.
  • Reviewing request for tenders, design drawings and contractual documentation.
  • Produce detailed take-offs, project programs and cost plans.
  • Stakeholder engagement including liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and design consultants to obtain information and calculate costs.
  • Participate in tender reviews with Senior Management.
  • Preparation and drafting of tender proposals including clearly setting out qualifications and departures.
  • Participate in pre-contract negotiations.
  • Liaising closely with Project Managers.
  • Business development and identifying new tender opportunities.
  • Proficiency with Buildsoft Cubit and Excel preferred.
