Contract Administrator – Oil & Gas Project | Brisbane

We are currently seeking an experienced
Contract Administrator
to join a leading Oil & Gas project based in Brisbane. This is a pivotal role responsible for leading and overseeing all phases of the contracting process, from strategy development through to post-award contract management.

Working closely with the Project Services Manager and cross-discipline teams, you will be accountable for driving contracting excellence, ensuring compliance, and supporting successful project delivery.

Key Details:

  • 12-month fixed term rolling contracts
  • Office presence Monday to Friday
  • Brisbane-based opportunities
  • No FIFO or Relocation offered
  • Individuals with full Australian working rights/ Australian passport
  • Oil & Gas experience (essential)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all contracting activities across the project lifecycle, including strategy, tendering, execution, and post-award management.
  • Develop contracting strategies and secure alignment/approval across internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare pre-qualification exercises, tender documentation, evaluation processes, and award recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with company governance, delegation of authority, and safety standards.
  • Monitor contractor performance, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement in contracting processes.
  • Support local content initiatives and ensure compliance with corporate procurement frameworks.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years' experience in contracts management on medium to large-scale projects.
  • Strong background in Oil & Gas projects (desirable), with exposure to global operations and remote environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate, administer, and manage complex construction/resource sector contracts.
  • Broad knowledge across Contracting & Procurement, materials management, and logistics.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence, challenge constructively, and build collaborative solutions.
  • Commercial and legal acumen with experience resolving contractual issues effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Business, or related discipline.
  • Additional Contracting, Procurement or Supply Chain certifications (highly desirable).
