Job Title: Billing Coordinator (Grade 2) - Finance

About the Role

This is a permanent position at 80 per fortnight within the Finance Department.

The Billing Coordinator will support the completion of the daily billing, receipting and reconciliation for private and compensable patients, as well as ensuring aged debtors are being reviewed with corrective actions taken as necessary.

Classification for this position will range from AO21 to AO25 (base salary $66,768 to $73,811.92 per annum, plus superannuation, leave loading and salary packaging)

What you'll achieve:

  • Coordination of financial claims and payment for private patients, compensable patients and MBS clinics
  • Facilitate the reduction of aged debt, ensuring claims are followed up within acceptable timelines
  • Supporting Billing Officers to enable efficient processes to be developed

Your skills and experience

  • Demonstrated experience using computer applications, including Microsoft Office products, Electronic Medical Records and Billing Systems
  • Previous experience in billing and collections
  • Detailed understanding of Medicare billing guidelines and requirements, private patient billing and private health funds
  • Experience with robotic process automation, including mapping out processes, identifying weaknesses and developing, documenting and maintaining automation processes
