We are seeking an experienced and passionate Meals on Wheels Coordinator for parental leave coverage in Canterbury.

About the Role

In this high energy, people focused role, you will be responsible for the coordination of the delivery of meals to our Support at Home clients. Duties would include:

  • Client Service and Service Delivery

Coordinate the delivery of meals to clients living at home.

Conduct the necessary assessments and reviews of clients.

Keep clients informed and up to date with service information.

  • Finance and Administration

Involvement with billing, invoicing, receipting and balancing monies from clients.

Responsible for the onsite administrative tasks such as food ordering and menu processing.

Maintain appropriate documentation including client and volunteer records as required.

Manage and respond to My Aged Care referrals.

  • Volunteer Coordination

Coordinate roster arrangements for volunteers.

Induct new volunteers into the Meals on Wheel service.

Monitor volunteer performance.

Hours of Work:

  • Fixed Term Full Time
  • December 2025 to December 2026
  • Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 9am – 5pm

About You

  • You love leading a team to deliver great outcomes

Essentials:

  • At least 1 year of experience coordinating a Meals on Wheel program or related program.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver community programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
  • Police Check (or willing to obtain)
  • Full Driver's Licence

Desirable:

  • Experience in coordinating staff and volunteers
