About the Revenue Operations team

The Revenue Operations team, within the Finance department, is responsible for the accurate collection and identification of patient classifications and the subsequent billing, sundry debtor billing, debtor follow up and reconciliation of this activity across the Royal Women's Hospital. The team works cohesively to ensure a professional patient/client experience through the various revenue pathways utilising up to date data and processes whilst always being open to identify opportunities for improvement.

About the role

As a Revenue Officer, you will play a key role in managing sundry and patient billing, raising invoices, reconciling accounts, and supporting debt collection processes to ensure accurate and timely revenue outcomes across the hospital.

A regular day will see you:

  • Work alongside the Revenue Operations team to ensure monthly sundry debtor accounts are raised, in accordance with the sundry debtor invoicing schedule;
  • Raise ad-hoc sundry debtor invoices as requested, ensuring all requests are raised in accordance with the established policy framework at the Women's;
  • Assist with the collection of outstanding debtor accounts (sundry and patient related);
  • Receipt payments in to billing systems;
  • Respond to patient/customer enquiries over the phone and by email.

About you

You will be someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who enjoys working with diverse stakeholders, is confident using financial systems and patient management software (or excited to learn), and has a sharp eye for detail in billing, debt reconciliation, and process improvement.

You'll bring with you:

  • Previous billing and debtors experience;
  • Exceptional customer service skills with an ability to relate to all stakeholders internally and externally;
  • "Can do" attitude and flexible approach;
  • Ability to balance competing and conflicting priorities;
