Midnight Hotelis currently seeking passionate and qualified culinary professionals to join the team as a Fulltime Chef De Partie.

In partnership with our Executive Chef, you will be responsible for the daily operations of our Food & Beverage Outlets, including Braddon Merchant, Midnight Bar, Conference & Events and In-Room Dining.

The role will be responsible for delivering food quality that reflects the Midnight brand, ensuring the smooth operation of each service period, adhering to local health, safety and food compliances and inspiring your teammates to strive for continued excellence and a high level of the guest experience.

Please note that this role will be based across a rotating roster, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays

What we are looking for:

  • A formal Commercial Cookery Certification (or any equivalent cookery certificate).
  • Demonstrated performance in a high-end restaurant environment.
  • Solid skill base and experience in a la carte food production.
  • 'Hands On' style, who understands and can deliver on the expectations of a modern and contemporary guest experience.
  • Ongoing commitment to quality and providing a unique experience to our guests.
  • Possess a keen eye to detail.
  • Superior communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and time management to handle multiple priorities including coordinating with the Front of House staff.
  • Excellent working knowledge and understanding of Food Safety procedures, including the training of colleagues in procedures.
  • Food Safety qualification.
  • High standard of personal presentation.
  • The flexibility to work various shifts on a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Current Working Visa with full working rights to live and work in Australia (Mandatory). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
