Ramsay Health Care is seeking a full-time clinical trials coordinator who will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of clinical trial activities at Hollywood Private Hospital.
The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities related to sponsored and investigator driven clinical trials that have been established at the hospital.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make significant contributions to the development of a leading clinical trials unit at the hospital and within the broader Ramsay Clinical Trials Network.
Key responsibilities include:
- The implementation of clinical trial protocols, including the recruitment of patients, coordinating patient visits and data collection in accordance with clinical trials protocols and following up patients as needed
- Assist with the start-up processes for clinical trials, ensuring that the site is able to be activated as quickly as possible
- Participate in the National Clinical Trials Network, attending national meetings and working collaboratively within the network to develop clinical trials within Ramsay Health Care.
- Develop, implement and maintain systems to support the operational activities of the clinical trials unit as required by the site and the national team.
About Ramsay Research & the National Clinical Trials Network
Through seed funding provided by the Ramsay Hospital Research Foundation, Ramsay Health Care has established a national clinical trials network. Consisting of 22 sites spread across four states of Australia, the network employs over 60 team members who focus on the establishment and development of clinical trials at our sites.
Our clinical trial activities focus on Oncology & Haematology, Mental Health, Musculoskeletal Disease and Cardiology as well as other therapeutic areas such as respiratory and neurology. Through this dedicated network Ramsay Health Care is able to provide access to emerging treatments and new devices that offer a participant the potential of changing the outcomes of any diagnosis and disease.
The role will report through the Assistant Clinical Trials and Research Manager and will work closely with a number of key stakeholders including the clinical trials team, the Hospital finance teams and the National Clinical Trials Network.
The role will encompass a number of key elements across people, processes and technology including:

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:
- Experience in a clinical research or clinical trials with prior exposure to the recruitment of patients and the collection and management of clinical trial data.
- Experience working with busy clinicians and an understanding of how to effectively manage and work within a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to establish relationships, influence, and work in partnership with stakeholders and employees at all levels.
- Demonstrated high level oral and written skills.
- Demonstrated high level conceptual and analytical skills and the capacity to show initiative, to develop solutions and ensure that each research project is successful
- Demonstrated ability to plan and pursue challenging goals whilst successfully managing competing priorities
- High level knowledge of relevant codes and legislation related to human research ethics and research governance within Australia
