DC PARTNERSHIP is seeking an experienced, talented and self-motivated Senior Accessibility Consultant to join our Sydney team.

THE ROLE

As a Senior Consultant in our Access & Inclusive Design team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality accessibility and inclusive design services across a diverse range of projects. You'll manage medium-to-large projects, act as the lead consultant on complex technical matters, and provide guidance to both clients and colleagues.

This role combines technical expertise, project management, and client engagement with the opportunity to contribute to industry-wide initiatives that drive positive change in accessibility and inclusion. You'll also mentor junior staff, support the growth of our business unit, and help strengthen DC Partnership's position as a leader in the field.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technical Delivery: Deliver high-quality audits, reports, compliance strategies, and performance solutions, with advanced knowledge of accessibility codes and standards.

  • Project Management: Scope, program, and manage projects from start to finish, ensuring deliverables are on time, on budget, and aligned with client expectations.

  • Mentoring & Team Support: Provide guidance, coaching, and technical input to graduates and junior consultants, supporting skills growth across the team.

  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong connections with architects, developers, contractors, and advocacy groups, acting as the day-to-day contact for allocated projects.

  • Business Development: Contribute to bids, proposals, and industry networking while identifying opportunities for cross-discipline collaboration.

  • Industry Contribution: Represent DCP at forums and technical committees, and contribute to thought leadership initiatives, presentations, and publications.

  • Compliance & Governance: Ensure strict compliance with NCC, Premises Standards, AS1428 series, and internal QA/QC protocols.

ABOUT YOU

We're looking for someone who brings both technical strength and leadership skills to the role. You will have:

  • Alignment with DC Partnership values (Integrity, Teamwork, Growth, Flexibility, Innovation).

  • Proven experience in access consulting, inclusive design, or a related technical discipline.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to deliver medium-to-large projects independently.

  • In-depth knowledge of accessibility codes and standards, both national and international codes;

  • In-depth knowledge of inclusive and universal design guidelines, both national and international codes;

  • Understanding of the planning framework specifically with respect to DCP and SEPP reviews;

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.

  • A collaborative and proactive mindset, with a passion for driving positive change.

  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior staff (desirable).

  • Professional accreditation or membership (e.g. ACA) is highly regarded.
