About Austin Health Finance
The Finance Department provides services covering: Management Accounting, incorporating budgeting and financial analysis, Financial Accounting, incorporating Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Capital, Patient Billing and Sundry Debtors, Private Practice administration, Cash Management and Investments.
About the role
The Corporate Finance Business Partner team work closely with relevant Directorates providing support in commercial insight, financial advice, funding and business case support, and divisional budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
A regular day will see you:
- Providing financial insight and advice to relevant Executive, Divisional Directors and other business directors to optimise financial performance
- Undertake financial analysis of operational strategies to ensure efficient utilisation of resources, identifying opportunities to improve financial results
- Drive a culture of financial accountability, integrity and compliance
- Manage key stakeholder relationships
About you
As a Finance Business Partner, you will be someone who has excellent analytic and problem solving skills. Strong communication skills, with a strong commitment to excellence in patient care. You'll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:
- Qualified accountant (either CPA, CA or equivalent) or relevant experience relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, accounting, economics, law, administration, finance, or a similar area
- Demonstrated initiative and ability to develop innovative solutions to problem
- Proven ability to undertake sophisticated costing analysis
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
- Proven ability to provide optimal financial decision-making through the provision of timely, accurate and useful information to management.
