About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder (First Class) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and safety standards. You will work on a range of metal structures, components, and piping systems, ensuring precision and durability in every weld.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
  • Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment including .
  • Perform high-quality welding
  • Inspect completed welds for accuracy, defects, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Carry out fabrication, fitting, and assembly of components as required.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in safe working condition.
  • Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
  • Work collaboratively with the fabrication and engineering teams to meet production deadlines.
  • Assist with on-site installations or repairs as needed.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a First Class Welder within a manufacturing, environment.
  • Strong knowledge of welding techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety.
  • Current driver's license

Desirable

  • Experience with pipe and fitting welding
  • Knowledge of welding standards such as ISO21307
