My client is an Australian family-owned business who have been a leader in the food manufacturing industry for several decades. They became a recognised supplier to both national and international food manufacturers thanks to the use of science and creativity to create, solve challenges, and develop opportunities. They sell their innovative, customized solutions to Beef, Pork, Lamb, Poultry, Smallgoods, Jerky, Petfood, Baked goods, Sauces & condiments, Ready Meals, Wholesale Butcher Supply & Seafood Manufacturers.

Due to a focus on growth, they have now created this role and are looking for a sales support coordinator from any or several of the above-mentioned channels ideally (but other relevant ones will also be considered). It is quite a unique role, and will still be developing over time. It's a mix of sales support, customer service, data entry, procurement coordination, category coordination with a touch of demand planning and forecasting.

As Sales Support Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless coordination between customers, internal production, and commercial teams. Your core responsibilities will include managing customer communications for purchase orders, aligning sales and production orders, supporting forecasting and CRM activities, and analysing business intelligence (BI) reports to support efficiency and strategic decision-making. A large part of the role will include end to Customer Order control and communication, you will be the pivotal person responsible for DIFOT and internal forward projections which will assist taking the business to the next level.

Based at the Murarrie office and reporting to the Sales Manager with a dotted line to the Commercial Manager, your responsibilities are:

The role

Sales & Order Management

* Communicate with customers regarding sales orders, ensure DIFOT targets are met and communicate DIFOT fails with relevant stakeholders in the business.

* Act as the first point of contact for all supply related inquiries from both internal teams and customers.

Demand Planning & Forecasting

* Coordinate and lead monthly forecast meetings with the top 20 customers (primarily online; occasional face-to-face).

Data Analysis & BI Reporting

* Use internal Business Intelligence (BI) reports to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, cost savings, or customer engagement.

Sales Support

* Manage sales communications and campaign materials for the broader customer base

* Coordinate sample dispatches with R&D and assist in catalogue and promotional material distribution.

Administration & Internal Coordination

You will have demonstrated knowledge and experience of:

* 1-2 years of experience in a similar role or industry relevant experience

* Data entry thus attention to detail.

* Customer service and fulfilment rates

* External communications with the people who place the orders, like procurement and purchasing managers

* Forecasting and 'forward view" ability

* FMCG, Food Manufacturing, QSR, foodservice and/or contract Manufacturing but others are also considered.

* Effective communicator at all levels in the organisation, including executives

* Team player - you love working collaboratively and cross-functionally

* Effective multi-tasker

* Familiarity with forecasting and demand planning programs

* Familiarity with CRM tools would be a plus

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

* Proficient in Microsoft - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams
