A leading commercial real estate agency in the heart of Melbourne's CBD is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trust Accountant to join their dynamic and high-performing team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for candidates with residential trust accounting experience to transition into the commercial property sector. With a competitive salary package between $70,000 – $80,000 per annum and the use of Cirrus 8 software, this position is ideal for someone who is ready to take the next step in their career within a professional and supportive environment.

Requirements of the Role

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in trust accounting (residential or commercial real estate preferred).
  • Strong understanding of trust account compliance and relevant legislation.
  • Proficiency with property management/accounting software (Cirrus 8 experience highly regarded).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong reconciliation skills.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage deadlines effectively.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing daily trust accounting operations across a commercial property portfolio.
  • Processing trust receipts, payments, and reconciliations in line with compliance requirements.
  • Preparing monthly and annual trust account audits and reporting.
  • Liaising with property managers, landlords, and tenants to resolve trust-related queries.
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory regulations and agency policies.
