The Teacher Special Education Hearing Impairment (Itinerant) position is based at Warialda Public School. It involves travelling to support students who are Deaf or hard of hearing in a range of school settings, including those prior to school age, preschool, primary school, high school, schools for specific purposes (SSP), and support classes. The suitable applicant requires their own vehicle, a current driver's licence, and a willingness to travel between work sites.
Selection Criteria- Approval to teach Hearing Impairment, Primary/ Secondary.
- High-level expertise to develop, deliver and evaluate differentiated learning plans to meet the complex needs of hearing-impaired students across varied educational settings.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with a proven capacity to build positive relationships and work collaboratively with students, staff, parents, and external agencies to meet the needs of students with hearing loss.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
