About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant / Junior Finance Analyst to support our Australian Finance team. This role is a great entry point for someone looking to develop their finance and accounting skills while contributing to the smooth running of day-to-day financial operations. You will primarily focus on accounts administration, transaction processing and supporting the finance team with reporting and reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Process supplier invoices accurately and on time.
  • Ensure invoices are coded correctly to the right cost centers and projects.
  • Monitor payment schedules and assist with vendor queries.
  • Help maintain accurate supplier records in the finance system.
  • Support customer invoicing and follow up on outstanding payments.

Reconciliations & Reporting

  • Assist with daily, weekly and monthly reconciliations of bank accounts and corporate credit cards.
  • Help prepare month-end reporting and reconciliations.
  • Generate simple reports on AP, AR, and other financial metrics.

General Finance Support

  • Assist the finance team with journal entries, accruals and other administrative tasks.
  • Help maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Support process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce errors.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2 years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping or finance support roles.
  • Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and basic finance systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
