About the position:
The Senior Manager, reporting to and under the direction of the Director Service Delivery, plays a critical leadership role in coordinating, managing, and supervising the operations and staff of various programs within the organisation. This role involves providing expert direction and advice to multidisciplinary staff, ensuring that KWY delivers high-quality services to clients. The Senior Manager will leverage their experience and expertise to drive improvements in organisational processes, human resources management, and communication and have expertise of working from a trauma-informed approach.
A significant aspect of this role is managing program contracts, budgets, and acquittals, ensuring that all reporting is processed within established timeframes. The Senior Manager must possess strong skills in contract negotiation and be able to work effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. This includes overseeing budget allocations, ensuring compliance with financial and contractual obligations, and ensuring that all program deliverables are met on time and within budget. The Senior Manager is responsible for ensuring the quality of KWY's programs and services, implementing improvements when necessary, and supporting staff to maintain high standards of service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of the Director Service Delivery in the development of relevant work
- Manage the contracts of several teams located in metropolitan Adelaide and regional South Australia.
- Provide line supervision of the Program Coordinators, and develop professional development plans, provide performance reviews and management plans where required for staff.
- Participate in human resource administration including, recruitment, onboarding/offboarding of staff and performance management
- Monitor individual and team performance
- Identify gaps and training needs, providing coaching and support to team members
- Sets and maintains high standard of teamwork.
- Maintain team boundaries and confidentiality in a professional manner.
- Report and respond to emerging issues.
About you:
The successful applicant will possess.
- Extensive leadership experience in the fields of child protection, domestic and family violence, or social services, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multi-disciplinary teams, motivate staff, delegate tasks, and foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Strong knowledge of human resource administration, including staff recruitment, performance management, communication, consultation, and stakeholder relationship management.
- Experience in case management with individuals from complex and diverse backgrounds, ensuring high-quality, client-centred service delivery.
What we offer:
- Competitive salary: $119,093 - $124,073 (range dependent on experience and qualifications). Classification under the SCHADS Award.

Job requirements:
- You must hold a current South Australian Driver's License or a license which permits you to drive in South Australia.
- Successful candidates will be required to clear and maintain probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check (Police Clearance), Working with Vulnerable People Check and Working with Children Check (applicants need to hold a current WWCC to apply).
