As we continue to scale and expand, we are seeking a driven Account Manager & Trader to join our sales and purchasing team and help shape the future of our success.
The Role:
Reporting directly to the Sales & Trading Manager, we are looking for an Account Manager & Trader to join our Sales and Trading team and to help support commercial growth. This role will be responsible for the account management and procurement for a select group of customers to deliver on revenue and growth targets with a high level of customer satisfaction.
Cross functionally, you will work externally with suppliers and internally with key stakeholders in logistics, quality, financing and marketing to deliver exceptional value to our customers.
This role requires a results-oriented commercial operator with a preference for a sound understanding of the coffee market and commodity trading.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute sales strategies to meet and exceed volume, revenue and profit targets whilst maintaining customer satisfaction
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in existing and emerging markets
- Ensure CRM & ERP systems and sales processes are efficient and used effectively
- Monitor commodity market, supply/demand trends
- Build and maintain strong relationships with global suppliers to ensure reliable sourcing, competitive pricing, and long-term partnerships
- Secure back-to-back product purchases for key customers by negotiating commercially sustainable and profitable supply arrangements, in full alignment with the purchasing policy
- Develop and execute in time sales contracts with suppliers and customers
- Analyse sales data and operational KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Drive continuous process improvement to enhance operational efficiency
- Monitor FX exposure and liaise with the Finance department to manage currency risks
- Collaborate with marketing to execute go-to-market plans and promotional campaigns
- Work closely with the Shipping & Logistics department for optimal outcomes on transport costs and ensuring minimal delays
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies
About You:
- Proven experience (5+ years) in sales and trading – ideally within FMCG or commodity trading – coffee experience is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience in managing large commercial customers
- Deep understanding of Business-to-Business trading, supply chain logistics, and customer service excellence
- Demonstrated ability to deliver sales growth and improve operational efficiency
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Proficient in CRM systems, understanding of ERP software, and ability to critically analyse data
- Preferred experience & knowledge in commodity trading
- Proven expertise in commodity trading is considered highly valuable
- Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset and a hands-on approach
- Preferred bachelor's degree in business or a related field
