We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen of our busy, well-established Italian restaurant. This is a full-time role, and weekend availability is essential.

About the Role:

As Head Chef, you will oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, consistency, and service. You'll lead and mentor a dedicated team, manage stock and ordering, and uphold our commitment to delivering authentic, high-quality Italian cuisine.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a fast-paced restaurant
  • Strong background in Italian cuisine
  • Ability to lead, train, and inspire a kitchen team
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • High standards for food quality, presentation, and hygiene
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive, professional attitude
  • Full availability, including weekends

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and OH&S standards
  • Manage rostering, training, and team performance
  • Collaborate with management on specials, events, and service improvements
