Dumpling Chef, a thriving franchise chain specializing in Chinese dumplings and fast food, is delighted to announce the opening of its new store in Melbourne Central Shopping Centre . As we prepare for this exciting new venture, we are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Full-time Store Manager & Assistant Manager.

Position: Full-time Store Manager & Assistant Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise daily operations of the takeaway business, ensuring efficient and seamless service.
  • Manage staff rostering, ensuring appropriate coverage and compliance with labour regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive staff training, emphasizing high standards of food preparation, safety, and exceptional customer service.
  • Effectively manage stock and inventory, including ordering, monitoring supplies, and minimizing wastage.
  • Operate the ABACUS POS system proficiently, ensuring accurate order processing, cash handling, and sales reporting.
  • Oversee store opening and closing procedures, including cash reconciliation and adherence to security protocols.
  • Provide prompt and friendly service to customers, handling food preparation, packaging, and serving as needed.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork, growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Utilize strong communication skills in English and Mandarin to effectively interact with both customers and staff.
  • Demonstrate new cooking techniques and new equipment to cooking staff.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) industry is highly desirable.
  • Familiar with the ABACUS POS system or similar point-of-sale software.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to effectively manage daily operations.
  • Excellent leadership skills to motivate and guide a diverse team.
  • Good verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin to facilitate seamless communication.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding service.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and procedures.
  • Availability to work on a rotating roster, including weekends, as the store operates seven days a week.
