Short Description:

About the role:

As the in-house Trust Accountant, you'll manage all trust account functions, payroll, financial reporting, and general accounting obligations. This is a hands-on, high-trust role where your attention to detail and accuracy will directly support the firm's operations and reputation.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Full management of trust accounts in line with legal and regulatory requirements
  • Payroll processing, superannuation, and employee entitlements
  • Managing invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting
  • End-of-month and year-end financial reports for review by the Director
  • Cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and compliance tracking
  • Maintaining licenses and audit readiness
  • Identifying opportunities for system and process improvements

What you'll bring:

  • Experience managing trust accounts in a legal or professional services environment
  • Proficiency with MYOB, trust accounting systems (e.g. LEAP or Affinity), and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong general accounting, reporting, and payroll experience
  • Clear communication and the ability to liaise directly with senior management
  • A proactive and self-managed approach to work
