Iconic Bakery Baker Bleu are looking for a skilled kitchen professional to join the team at our Double Bay store.
Known for our dark crust sourdough, delicious pastries, generously filled fresh sandwiches and excellent coffee, our Double Bay Bakery is a thriving hub on beautiful Guilfoyle Avenue. Minutes from the bay, the bakery is filled from morning to afternoon with regulars, locals and tourists alike.
About the role
Overseeing our tight team of chefs and sandwich hands, you'll be responsible for the successful and smooth day to day operation of the kitchen's lunch offering, working alongside our team of bakers and pastry chefs.
You'll oversee daily production of our range of fresh sandwiches and bagels, signature sourdough pizzas, savoury pastries and more.
Additionally, you'll oversee ordering and stock control, rosters and recruitment for your department as well as cleaning and equipment maintenance.

About you
We're looking for a candidate with a stable work history, who is willing to commit to the business for a minimum of 2 years.
To be considered for this role you will need the following:
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to delegate tasks, train junior staff & foster positive kitchen culture
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards & hygiene protocols
- Proven experience in rostering & scheduling
- Clear communicator
- Proficiency in managing prep schedules & workflows
