About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef/Cook to join our vibrant team at Hand of Fatima Cafe' in Peregian Beach, QLD. You will be responsible for preparing and cooking a unique breakfast/brunch experience on the Sunshine Coast. Our menu changes every season with 6 items on the menu. Please only apply if you are currently living on Sunshine Coast.

What you'll be doing

  • Prepare and cook a variety of menu items to our high standards
  • Ensure food is presented in an appetising and visually appealing manner
  • Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies
  • Collaborate with the team to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef/Cook in a similar cafe or restaurant environment
  • Strong culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Food Safety Supervisor certification or willingness to obtain
  • Must have the right to work in Australia
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery preferred or relevant culinary qualifications
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
