About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef with a strong background in Sri Lankan cuisine to join our team full-time.

This permanent position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to contribute to a growing and reputable restaurant that values authenticity, consistency, and creativity in every dish.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook traditional Sri Lankan dishes, including curries, roti, sambols, and rice dishes
  • Plan and develop seasonal menus in collaboration with the Head Chef
  • Ensure consistent quality, flavour, and presentation of dishes
  • Monitor stock levels, minimise waste, and manage portion control
  • Supervise and mentor kitchen staff where required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant kitchen environment in line with food safety standards

Skills and Experience Required

  • Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent qualification)
  • Minimum of 2 years' full-time experience as a Chef
  • Strong knowledge of Sri Lankan cuisine and traditional cooking methods
  • Excellent time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
