About the role

As Senior DevOps Lead, you will shape and advance DevOps capabilities across Suncorp, driving automation, operational excellence, and platform efficiency. You'll lead and mentor a team to design and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with Agile teams to embed best practices, and ensure scalable, secure infrastructure. This role champions continuous improvement, streamlines workflows, and delivers high-quality, compliant solutions that accelerate business agility.

What you'll do

• Lead and prioritise delivery pipelines aligned with strategic goals, ensuring resource efficiency and execution excellence
• Champion Agile and DevOps practices, fostering a culture of accountability, automation, and continuous improvement
• Drive automation-first principles and standardisation to streamline processes, improve quality, and reduce manual effort
• Mentor and develop team capability, promoting a learning culture and innovation
• Lead the development, optimisation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines and related tooling
• Enhance platform monitoring, proactively resolve issues, and lead incident management effort

What you'll bring

• 8+ years scripting with Python, Shell, JavaScript, Terraform, Ansible, and REST API integrations
• 5+ years DevOps and CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD
• Strong AWS experience: EC2, S3, VPC, networking, EKS (Kubernetes), and OpenShift
• Skilled in cloud automation, scaling, monitoring, and networking concepts
• Proficient in Git version control and security/monitoring tools like Snyk and Dynatrace
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, deployment automation, and CI/CD testing
