We are hiring at Now Book It for a Senior DevOps Engineer – to join our rapidly growing business in Australia

We seek a driven and team oriented Senior DevOps Engineer – to join the team that develops the World’s most powerful hospitality platform , with the purpose of further expanding our business globally in 2025.

This role focuses on building and enhancing our current DevOps process, including a hands-on approach with the day-to-day activities that enables our infrastructure expansion.

The successful Senior DevOps Engineer must be either an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, with at least 5 years experience. You have extensive automation experience, multi-cloud experience, exposure to global scalability and resilience, monitoring, recovery and incident management, and adaptability to Saas specific challenges.

The successful candidate will be based anywhere in Australia, working in an efficient remote work model

Your experience :

Container tech stack (must have)

- Understanding Docker and container tech
- Hands on with Docker/Swarm/K8s
- Linux and windows hosting, backup and disaster recovery concepts
- Maintaining Docker scripts to ensure it meets the security standard and resolves CVE issues

Cloud/network/security (must have)

- Experience in one or more cloud providers (AWS, Google, Azure)
- Strong knowledge of Layer 4 and 7 load balancing
- Experience in Nginx or similar
- Firewall configuration and proxy configuration
- Intrusion prevention and web filtering
- SSL offloading/termination, TLS Certs management (CA chains)
- Proficient in either Ansible or Terraform
- Working on solutions based on CNCF and cloud neutral
- Hosting, securing and maintaining virtual servers

DevOps

- Understanding SCM like Git, and branching policy
- AD/ADFS IAM management and Policy control
- Developing and maintaining Infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions, automation of deployment, building High Availability network, working on container network
- Building and manage container hosts/clusters
- Work with Devs setup deployment scripts and security policy
- Exposure to GitOp practice, as the single source of truth in managing infrastructure and application deployment (nice to have)

Micro-service Ops (nice to have)

- Have used/been exposed to message bus patterns at work or outside work

Soft Skills

- Lead with accountability, outcomes, and continuous improvement
- Work well autonomously and with a remote team
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Work with developers to build the Monitoring solution for the platform
- Contribute ideas within the team and help deliver solutions
- Contribute to the content of the technical documentation and Project WIKI
- Legally authorised to work in Australia
