The focus of your role: As a DevOps Enablement lead, you will be responsible for enabling the service delivery teams to improve DevOps maturity and deliver tangible benefits from improvement. You should be a go-getter who will take initiative to translate strategic plans to outcomes on devops maturity and automation. We are looking to recruit for positions in Melbourne and Sydney. What you'll do: - Define plan and backlog of activities to drive DevOps adoption in delivery and operations squads - Hands-on coaching and enablement for DevOps adoption - practice, culture and tooling - Act as a trusted advisor to internal teams and management - Accountable for driving tangible benefits from operations automation and DevOps maturity - Define and maintain DevOps playbooks - Collaborate with development & infrastructure teams to streamline workflows and identify areas for automation. - Analyse and improve existing software development processes. - Design and implement CI/CD pipelines. - Design and implement monitoring and logging tools to identify issues and optimize performance. - Stay up to date with the latest DevOps technologies and best practices. - Enable and train DevOps team in practices and tools adoption. - Act as internal consultant on delivery teams for DevOps onboarding, training and adoption. What you'll bring: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Minimum of 10+years IT experience with at least 4 years of experience in delivering and leading DevOps tools and automation teams. - Automation: Strong understanding of automation tools and technologies, such as configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef and Puppet, as well as scripting languages like Python and Bash. - Continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD): Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and the tools used to support them, such as Jenkins, Travis CI, GitLab CI/CD, and CircleCI. - Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, as well as related tools such as Helm and Terraform. - Monitoring and logging: Effectively monitor and analyse system logs and performance metrics, and have experience with tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana). - Cloud computing :Well-versed in cloud computing technologies (AWS/Azure) and understand how to leverage these technologies to optimize software development processes. Functional skills - Consulting and coaching: Act as techno-functional consultant to internal teams on DevOps adoption - Strategic thinking: Work with global practice and center of excellence to uplift overall DevOps capabilities - Problem solving: Analysing an organization's software development processes, identifying inefficiencies and bottlenecks, and developing solutions to improve efficiency and productivity. - Stakeholder management: Work closely with software developers, project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that all teams are aligned with the common goals. - Communication and collaboration: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Flexibility: Adapt to changing priorities and adjust work plans to deliver independently. Other - Experience in leading teams - Operations / DevOps tooling/ Platform - Experience in internal DevOps platform /enablement teams or as part of Service Provider preferred. - Experience working in managed services delivery. - Strong ITSM practitioner - incident, problem, change, release, configuration management processes.
