Tell me about this role:

We are currently looking for an NV1 security cleared Network Solutions Architect to join our team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for producing and/or reviewing Project documentation and supplier deliverables as part of the One Defence Capability System (ODCS) Gate 2 process and Acquisition stages of the project.

What will I be doing day to day? 

  • Provide architectural support, advice, guidance and additional information as required
  • Participate in the ICT Architecture working group
  • Produce necessary ICT architectural documentation to support System Engineering Design (SED) for the F-AMTS (Future Air Mission Training System) ICT system
  • Participate in SED development activities and workshops
  • Work with Project Engineering Manager to develop the needs and requirements into valid system specifications
  • Analyse vendor design specification, OCD, FPS, and develop technical interface designs that align to Defence patterns
  • Support the development test and evaluation plans to provide traceability of the design
  • Manage the delivery and outcome of industry work packages to ensure it complies with the commonwealth statement of work

What sort of skills do I need? 

  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Software engineering or similar
  • Working knowledge of System Safety and Defence/CASG Policies
  • Strong working knowledge of systems engineering processes within Defence
  • Strong communication skills
  • Process orientated with good attention to detail
  • Hold a minimum NV1 security clearance (must be an Australian citizen)
