Solution Architect (Wintel Identity Architect)

Working with a global consulting firm you will support the Royal Australian Navy's Fleet Information Environment (FIE) Modernisation program. You'll help deliver a cyber-hardened, integrated mission system (Minerva) that supports deployed operations and day-to-day Navy activities.

  • Location: Canberra
  • Security Clearance: Minimum current NV2
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Duration: 12 months + extension

Key Responsibilities

  • Design secure, scalable network architectures for distributed/multi-site and hybrid cloud environments.
  • Define routing with BGP and Segment Routing (SR-MPLS/SRv6); lead SDN and network automation.
  • Create integration patterns for container platforms; develop SOPs and provide training.
  • Support day-to-day operations and Level 3 escalations; sustain Minerva ICT systems.

Key Skills

  • Advanced expertise in BGP, SR-MPLS/SRv6, MPLS, IP routing, and network peering.
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware, SDN, and distributed/overlay/underlay networks; hybrid cloud.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement; ability to translate requirements into designs.

Desirable Skills

  • TOGAF or architecture modelling; strong documentation; knowledge of Minerva Systems.
