Senior Solution Architect - Defence ICT Integration

  • Location: Canberra or Sydney
  • *Clearance:* NV2 required****
  • Contract: 12mths + extensions

Work with global consulting firm to support the Minerva sub-program, a cornerstone of the Royal Australian Navy's Fleet Information Environment (FIE) Modernisation. This mission-critical initiative is delivering cyber-hardened, integrated ICT systems to support both deployed operations and shore-based administration.

As the Senior Solution Architect (Integration Architect), you'll lead the design and integration of multivendor, geographically dispersed systems that underpin warfighting networks. You'll provide strategic technical direction, shape architecture designs, and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver secure, responsive, and future-ready ICT capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and integrate Minerva systems, services, and interfaces in line with Defence standards and ICT best practices
  • Advise on technical strategy, risk mitigation, and system obsolescence
  • Translate specifications into operational documentation and actionable designs
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to optimise vendor solutions and ensure alignment with architectural outcomes
  • Evaluate software-defined and vendor-agnostic technologies to enhance system responsiveness
  • Support warfighting network deployment with practical, scalable ICT solutions

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect in Defence warfighting networks
  • Expertise in designing and building complex, multivendor ICT environments
  • Ability to apply industry frameworks to real-world Defence applications
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and negotiation skills

Desirable Skills

  • Deep knowledge of Defence networks and emerging ICT trends
  • Familiarity with SEA2273 Minerva systems
  • Understanding of ICT project delivery and technical assurance frameworks
  • Eligible for Technical Authority (TA) Level 1 delegation
