We are seeking a full time, highly motivated, and enthusiastic individual to join the Hotel's Sales & Events Team.

Working in our Sales and Marketing Team, you play a vital role in delivering on the Emporium Service Promises. You will be responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the Conference & Events department and assisting the Director of Sales and Marketing in the coordination of departmental activities.

The role encompasses the end-to-end management of confirmed conferences and events, including the preparation of event orders, and post-event follow-up.

This is a dynamic, multi-faceted role that requires excellent organisational, multi-tasking, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and support the Conference & Events Team to achieve revenue and conversion targets.
  • Design and implement sales strategies, forecasting, and competitor analysis to maximise business opportunities.
  • Manage key client relationships, incentive databases, and conference proposals, ensuring timely follow-up and accurate quotations.
  • Oversee the full cycle of conferences and events, from enquiry and proposal through to delivery, and post-event evaluation.
  • Chair and drive weekly sales and event meetings, ensuring clear and respectful communication and efficient coordination across departments.
  • Host site inspections, familiarisation programs, and client events to strengthen relationships and secure future business.
  • Ensure team performance aligns with brand standards through regular briefings, training, and staff inductions.
  • Embody an ownership mindset by monitoring business periods to optimise occupancy and revenue; proactively manage costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate sales records, databases, and reporting to support departmental planning and strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales and Marketing on promotional initiatives and special projects.
  • Provide operational support to food & beverage, conferencing, and other departments to ensure effortless event execution.

About you

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role; hospitality or luxury hotel experience highly regarded
  • Strong ability to build rapport and foster positive relationships with both clients and internal stakeholders
  • Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities while taking pride in the detail
  • Outstanding personal presentation and attention to detail
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across departments, maintaning grace under pressure
  • Enthusiastic, curious, and passionate about luxury hospitality, events, food and beverage
  • Professional, and client-focused, with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences
