Your role

The role of the Administrative Support Services team is to provide essential administrative support to the Housing Portfolio, Portfolio Asset Management teams, encompassing business support, resource allocation, fleet management, and coordinating establishment changes for seamless business continuity and accurate reporting.

The purpose of this role is to manage administrative staff, ensuring that administrative services are delivered and standardised across three teams. The role is also the contact point for recruitment, purchase order management and other administrative services.

What you'll do

As the Business Manager, you will oversee and streamline administrative processes, staff, and resources across Housing Portfolio, Portfolio Asset Management to ensure professionalism, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing essential administrative procedures, and overseeing supports spanning human resources, finance, fleet, travel, and accommodation, promoting best practice and compliance.
  • Addressing issues promptly and providing timely, high-level advice to managers and staff, ensuring alignment with relevant policies, operating practices, and legislation.
  • Managing direct reports; you'll allocate work, appraise performance, and support ongoing professional development.
  • Overseeing compliance with corporate administrative policies and procedures across Housing Portfolio, Portfolio Asset Management, as well as managing responses effectively and promptly to enquiries from various stakeholders .

What we're looking for

  • Experience in developing and implementing complex office systems as well as experience in influencing changed organisational behaviour together with change management.
  • Experience in financial planning, management, and reporting.

  • Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills, and demonstrated experience.
