About the role

As the Manager – Technology Engineering (Major Projects) at ART, you will lead the engineering execution and operational integration of major technology initiatives across the organisation. You will ensure the successful delivery and transition of large-scale, complex programs into stable, secure, and high-performing operational environments. This role is pivotal in collaborating with senior leaders and stakeholders to deliver transformational technology programs that align with ART's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop holistic and detailed plans to support major programs, including resource, environment, benefits, knowledge management, and transition to production planning.
• Present recommendations to leadership teams and program directors on trade-offs, impacts, benefits, and mitigations for major transformational programs.
• Provide advice and guidance to ensure strategic, delivery, and operating model decisions consider the implications of relevant programs.
• Guide key program stakeholders to enable effective and timely technology decision-making, delivery, and advice.
• Drive collaboration and engagement on service design and business requirements, ensuring decisions are made with an enterprise-wide perspective.
• Ensure the right stakeholders are engaged in design and delivery decisions, and secure signoff from relevant representatives on key deliverables.
• Collaborate with program leadership teams to manage and mitigate technology risks and issues.
• Ensure effective handover to operational support, including documentation, training, automation, and knowledge transfer.

About you

You are a strategic and collaborative leader with a proven track record in delivering large-scale technology projects within complex environments. Your ability to influence, communicate, and drive outcomes across diverse stakeholder groups will be key to your success. You bring deep expertise in technology engineering, resource planning, and operational integration, ideally within the financial services sector.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and relationship skills to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Significant experience in technology resource, environment, and capability planning and forecasting.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with external partners to establish flexible workforce models and manage knowledge transfer.
• Senior management experience in software, solution, and quality engineering within large financial services environments.
• Experience working as or with a "system integrator" on major programs exceeding $100M in total cost.
• Proven ability to deliver engineering services in highly regulated and operationally significant environments.
• Demonstrated success in delivering large/complex technology projects with a strong understanding of business and customer needs.
• Relevant degree or postgraduate qualifications in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field.
