Senior Payroll Officer

Our client, a major regulatory body, is seeking an experienced and personable Senior Payroll Officer to join their team. This is a fantastic temporary-to-permanent opportunity to manage the full end-to-end payroll function and contribute to a supportive corporate environment.
About the role
- Managing the complete end-to-end fortnightly payroll cycle for approximately 700 employees.
- Accurately interpreting and applying multiple Enterprise Agreements (EAs) and industrial instruments.
- Performing all payroll processing duties, including higher-level responsibilities like reconciliations, reporting, and manual data entry where necessary.
- Utilizing iChris payroll system experience to ensure efficient and compliant processing.
- Providing guidance and support to the Payroll Officer and serving as a key point of contact for complex payroll queries.
- Ensuring strict compliance with all statutory obligations and internal policies.
About you
- Proven experience as a Senior Payroll Officer, managing full end-to-end payroll for a high headcount.
- Essential experience with the iChris payroll system.
- Essential experience and confidence in interpreting and applying Enterprise Agreements.
- A personable, team-player attitude with excellent communication skills.
- The ability to demonstrate initiative and agency, taking ownership of tasks and processes.
- Ability to successfully clear a Police Check.
