About the Role
Join a supportive and collaborative finance team as a Senior Payroll Officer, where your precision and people focus will help ensure smooth, compliant, and timely payroll operations. The team has recently implemented Humanforce, providing an efficient and streamlined payroll platform, an excellent opportunity to work with contemporary systems in a forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll accurately and in line with legislative and organisational requirements
- Maintain and manage the Humanforce payroll system, including data entry, reconciliations, and reporting
- Ensure all employee entitlements, tax, and superannuation obligations are processed correctly and on time
- Interpret and apply awards, enterprise agreements, and internal policies
- Collaborate with HR and management to resolve payroll queries
- Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits and compliance reviews
- Contribute to ongoing payroll process improvements
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll (medium to large workforce preferred)
- Sound understanding of employment legislation, awards, and enterprise agreements
- Hands-on experience with payroll systems: Humanforce experience highly regarded
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Team-oriented approach and commitment to continuous improvement
