Fishermen's Pier is looking for a modern and enthusiastic Head Chef to join our team. 

You will be responsible for managing the kitchen team to deliver an exceptional dining experience for our customers. Mediterranean cuisine is a bonus.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team to consistently produce high-quality, innovative meals
  • Develop and implement creative menus that showcase seasonal, locally-sourced ingredients
  • Manage food ordering, inventory, and budgeting to ensure efficient kitchen operations
  • Maintain a safe and hygienic kitchen environment, ensuring all food safety standards are met
  • Provide training and development opportunities for kitchen staff to enhance their skills
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house manager to deliver an exceptional dining experience
  • Monitor kitchen performance and identify opportunities for improvement

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary leadership role, preferably with the experience of cooking Seafood/Mediterranean food
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a team of chefs and creating innovative, high-quality and creative menus
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen operations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and motivate the kitchen team
  • Passion for using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients and creating memorable dining experiences
  • Flexible and adaptable to handle the demands of our restaurant environment
