The Taylor Group is looking for an experienced Chef to work on a fulltime basis our popular multi award winning venue the Grovedale Hotel  which has undergone a surge in popularity.  Situated on the outskirts of Geelong, only 20 minutes from the surf coast, we aim to set a new standard of service and cuisine at the Grovedale Hotel. We have also a similar positions available at our Barwon Heads hotel venue and our Torquay hotel venue for an experienced fulltime Chefs

We are seeking a people with progressive ideas about food across a range of cuisines to contribute  at our Grovedale Hotel and Barwon heads hotel  kitchen teams which are part of a locally owned hotel group that consists of Grovedale Hotel, Barwon Heads Hotel and the Torquay Hotel.   Experience in both high volume kitchens and smaller boutique kitchens will be considered an advantage. Our Chefs will be committed to the hotel over the peak seasons, but will also enjoy a great work life balance in this beautiful part of the world.

Areas of responsibility include but are not limited to -

  • Ensuring quality food across all sections worked in venue for regular service and functions
  • Food Safety and OH&S
  • Contribute to our daily processes and work along side the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
  • Be team orientated
  • Work well under pressure and be both confident and creative in the kitchen.
  • able to work independently and and as part as a team
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar roll
  • Qualifications: certificate IV in commercial cookery
