About Paddock Bakery

Paddock Bakery is a highly successful café and bakery originating in Burleigh Heads QLD, famous for their wood fired sourdough, crème brulé doughnuts and dippy eggs. Paddock Bakery has taken Greater Geelong by storm, open 7 days a week, and has quickly become a world-class destination within the historical Federal Mills precinct. The heart and soul of Paddock Bakery is our hand-built red brick wood fire oven. This is where it all started in Burleigh Heads, and we are excited to keep the flame alive in our latest venue.

Due to our rapid growth and expansion, we are now preparing a selection of our range from a production kitchen.

The roles:

Pastry Chef - seeking creative Pastry Chefs for full-time positions working 5 days a week (including weekends), with rotating start times between 8pm and 5am.

Production Chef - seeking an experienced chef for Part-time or Full-time roles. Working 5 days a week (including weekends), with rotating start times between 8pm - 5am

Key accountabilities:

  • Mixing, shaping and baking high quality baked goods to meet customer demand
  • Operating, cleaning, and maintaining all tools and equipment
  • Implementing quality control to ensure a high standard of product
  • Sound knowledge of all aspects of food safety and hygiene

About you:

  • 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Trade qualified
  • Familiar with all professional kitchen equipment and machinery
  • Able to work with minimal supervision at times
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Drivers license and own vehicle
