About the opportunity:

We are looking for a Packerto join our team in Somerton, on Day shift. This role reports to the Production Manager will be an integral part of the Production Team.

Please note - this is Not a Warehouse pick/packer role

Day shift is 6:00am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday and 6:00am to 2:00pm Friday. OT is built into the roster

Key Responsibilities include:

  • To receive and pack Printed Labels and / or Finished Goods to box up and palletise
  • Ensure safe handling and preservation of the Finished Goods being stocked, packed and handled.
  • Be the last line of quality inspection prior to boxing up product
  • Maintain Good Housekeeping of Work area and ensure Safe Work practices and manual handling are adhered to at all times
  • Operate allocated Mechanical Aided Equipment as per the safety operating procedure of the plant

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Ideally, have prior experience in working on a production floor, experience in the print, packaging, or label manufacturing industry will be advantageous
  • Be a team player that can communicate effectively across multiple work groups and willing to help out others.
  • Able to work autonomously and are self-motivated.
  • To have high attention to detail and proud of your work standard – quality focus.
