Claims Advisor

We're looking for a people-focused Claims Advisor to join our Adelaide-based team.
In this role, you'll support individuals during a difficult time – managing personal injury claims with empathy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
You'll work closely with customers and stakeholders to ensure each claim progresses smoothly, with a real focus on quality service over volume.
What you'll do
- Provide exceptional, empathetic service to customers during what can be a challenging and emotional time.
- Proactively engage with claimants, often over the phone, to guide them through the claims process with clarity, care, and professionalism.
- Manage personal injury claims from lodgement through to resolution, ensuring compliance with legislative and procedural guidelines.
- Collaborate with Injury Management Advisors, Technical Advisors, and internal teams like Fraud and Recoveries to develop effective claim strategies.
- Review medical, financial, and investigative reports to assess claim progress and costs.
- Maintain accurate, proactive file management to meet timeframes and organisational standards.
- Use delegated authority to make timely decisions aligned with claim outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to improve claims processes and participate in continuous professional development.
- Support and contribute to a positive team environment through knowledge sharing and active participation.
What you'll bring
- A strong customer focus with the ability to support people through challenging situations
- Clear and professional communication skills both written and verbal
- Claims or insurance experience is beneficial but not essential - we also value experience in customer-focussed or office-based roles
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Attention to detail to interpret reports and documentation
- A collaborative, team oriented approach
- Willingness to learn and build knowledge in personal injury and insurance legislation
- Adaptability and proactive attitude in a fast-paced environment
Hours & Location
This is a permanent full-time role based in Adelaide. You'll work from our office full-time during training, with the option to move to hybrid (2 days in office) after the first couple of months. Core hours are 8:30am–5:00pm.
