Job Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller- Australia as the Credit Controller at SURTECO, you will be responsible for assessing credit applications, ensuring timely payments and maintaining positive relationships with customers. The credit controller ensures accurate processing, reporting and collection of outstanding accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collections: Follow up overdue accounts ensuring timely payment and resolving any payment delays.
  • Credit application: Assess credit risk and applications, ensuring timely collection of all relevant information and background checks conducted.
  • Account Set up: Creation of new customer accounts in the system with information entered accurately.
  • Banking Allocations/ Reconciliation: Allocate daily banking received to the appropriate customer accounts so that orders are released. Reconcile accounts on a weekly basis and Webshop payments.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to customers and internal stakeholders within the business.
  • Webshop: Create online account for customers on the Webshop.
  • Reporting / KPI's: Prepare and report on monthly debtor, monthly accounts trial balance and generate and report on creditor watch.

Experience

  • Proven experience in credit controller role with 5+ years' experience within manufacturing and or warehouse industry.
  • Good understanding of debt collection and associated legal obligations
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Solid customer service and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of ERP software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite including excel
  • Proven experience with accounting software

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree, completed training in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration or related field
