Allied Credit is a leading vehicle finance firm with strategic alliances with global car, marine and motorcycle brands. Offering white label, joint venture and floorplan finance, our proprietary software provides a seamless, convenient and customer-focused finance service to consumers and businesses.

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who is eager to develop their analytical skills and gain exposure to financial planning, reporting, and business performance analysis.

Reporting directly to the Budgeting Manager, this position will focus on supporting the annual budget process and the ongoing forecasting requirements for the Group and its joint venture partners. The successful applicant will gain exposure to Workday Adaptive, the Group's budget and forecasting application, and will assist the Budgeting Manager in developing this tool to support the ongoing growth of the business.

What you will be doing

• Supporting the Budget Manager with the execution of the annual budgeting process, ensuring adherence to agreed delivery timelines and supporting stakeholders with their budget submissions.
• Helping to prepare and maintain Joint Venture budgets in collaboration with internal and external partners.
• Supporting the production of regular forecasts and ad hoc modelling to support growth initiatives for the Group and its partners, ensuring completeness and accuracy of inputs and that control checks have been completed.
• Assisting with the production of variance analysis where required, helping to provide commentary for senior leaders in the organisation.
• Building technical expertise in Workday Adaptive Planning to help enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
• Working closely with the Financial Reporting team to understand budgeting errors and ensure that these are resolved and captured as part of the next budget process.
• Supporting the Budget Manager in optimising the efficiency of the budget and forecasting processes, helping to reduce manual effort and time to complete.
• Contributing to ad hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.

Your background

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Completion/ progress toward CA/CPA or equivalent professional certification.
• Foundational experience in financial planning, budgeting or financial analysis roles, ideally in a financial services environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial modelling; familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning would be a strong advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with a hunger to learn and grow.
