The Channel Marketing Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the execution of retail marketing campaigns across Optus' Mass channel retail environments, ensuring alignment across all retail touchpoints. Working closely with the Retail and Branded Retail Campaign teams, the role involves end-to-end campaign coordination across products, using project management and marketing insights to deliver consistent and impactful customer messaging that drives sales.

Success in this role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. The ideal candidate is a driven and reliable communicator with a passion for retail marketing and a brand-led approach. The ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously while keeping stakeholders informed is essential, particularly when executing campaigns in Partner/Mass Partner environments and supporting Branded Retail initiatives.

What you'll be doing:

  • Develop and execute retail marketing briefs in collaboration with Retail Marketing Manager, Mass Sales teams, and GTM, from large-scale quarterly campaigns to tactical monthly changes.
  • Oversee point-of-sale (POS) execution across branded, mass, and partner retail environments, ensuring consistency and effectiveness.
  • Manage launch planning processes, including planogram development and documentation for retail rollouts.
  • Monitor and report on the Retail Marketing budget, ensuring accurate forecasting and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Engage senior sales stakeholders, providing marketing leadership on initiatives aimed at driving demand and improving in-store conversion.

What makes you perfect for the role?

  • Minimum 3 years in a marketing environment with tertiary qualifications in marketing or human studies, including experience in digital marketing, content management, and event/activation management.
  • Strong background in retail marketing execution, sales activation, and collateral management, with a solid understanding of consumer behaviour and Consumer Law in a marketing context.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence within retail sales organisations and act as a positive change agent fostering a high-performing team culture.
  • Skilled in managing internal stakeholders, agencies, and external partners, with strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.
  • Proven experience in effectively presenting to senior leaders and front-line teams, with the ability to make data-driven marketing judgements and projections.
  • Experienced in budget management, print warehouse operations, and the coordination of marketing assets to support timely, compliant campaign delivery.
