Position Overview:

This is an opportunity for a clinician who is seeking to take on a meaningful role in Fellowship training and in supporting the next generation of Rural Generalists for the Northern Territory. This leadership role would suit a collaborative individual willing to work in a dynamic and motivated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the clinical and academic oversight of the delivery of the college education and clinical training programs in the Northern Territory, and to ensure they deliver on their objectives in line with the strategic direction of the College.

Your duties will include:

  • Building and sustaining high performance teams
  • Mentoring medical educators and supporting program staff in the management of Registrar training and progression
  • Promoting the College Fellowship program
  • Facilitating education and networking events
  • Increasing the number of doctors on the ACRRM training program
  • Supporting doctors on the training program
  • Recruiting general practices and supervisors, to support the growing needs of the ACRRM program.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia in the field of General Practice
  • Experience in education development and clinical training delivery
  • Proven experience in developing and managing strategic partnerships
  • Operational excellence
  • Experience in managing risk and governance
  • Proven experience in clinical and academic leadership roles

The role will be offered at 0.4 FTE with flexible hours and location. You will be supported by a Training Network Coordinator and a team of dedicated clinical and operational staff in the Northern Territory.

You will also work closely with the National Director of Training and the other Regional Directors of Training across Australia and the wider ACRRM team to ensure we meet our member's needs and the overall goals of the College.
