 Summary

The Business Development Director role reports to the Director of Sales. Primary responsibilities include growing new revenue, maximizing IAM's footprint within the HID install base, and strengthening product selection policies through strategic planning and relationship building with HID prospects within the APAC region focusing on Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, India. The Business Development Director must effectively identify new project opportunities across multiple levels within prospects, customers, and channel partner organizations, including senior management and all subsequent departments essential to advancing HID Global's market position.  The Business Development Director will be responsible for selling enterprise software solutions to Global 2000 companies. They will develop and execute a business plan to grow the territory through established relationships, developing new relationships, and working with our channel partners.

As our Business Development Director , Asia Pacific, you'll support HID's success by: 

  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets
  • Develop and execute a strong strategy for a comprehensive regional business plan
  • Analyze and identify market trends to enable a continually growing robust sales pipeline
  • Successfully manage all aspects of sales process as well as building/presenting reports to sales management
  • Team with and manage territory HID channel partners
  • Work closely with pre-sales & post sales teams to provide recommendations for improvement through informed and analyzed data
  • Maintain an updated and accurate forecast in CRM )

Your Experience and Background include:  

  • 3-5 years exceeding sales quota as a Business Development Director selling software for a vendor in the Identity Access & Management, Cybersecurity, Physical Security, or Enterprise Software space.
  • BS/BA degree or equivalent plus relevant work experience.
  • Possess a track record of developing a greenfield territory, adding new logos in an Enterprise Software role as well as analyzing and adapting to regional market trends.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills specific to field sales presentations and software demonstrations.
  • Self-motivated with superb organizational skills, including reporting/pipeline management/product inputs through informed data inputs from customers and prospects.
  • Extensive network of customers and advocates in market.

Language Skills: 

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc

Computer Skills: 

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Proficient with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
  • Proficient with CRM software such as
