Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, ANZ the Key Account Manager – Industrial Chemicals & Minerals - Mining & Resources will manage all aspects of the mining and resources product portfolio to implement strategies to further grow and expand the Industrial Chemicals, Minerals and Water Treatment products and services. The role requires close collaboration, networking and building strong relationships with customers and suppliers alike within the mining, resources and mineral processing sectors across ANZ.

Focussing primarily in the agriculture, construction, building, water and food sectors, their longevity of success is from a holistic understanding of markets, technical insight, and logistics excellence to build durable long-term strategies. They supply from the world's best raw material producers with agriculture, building materials, chemicals and industrial manufacturers and consumers to produce a finished product.
The Role
This is a critical role for the business. Specifically in the mining and resources sector, as Key Account Manager, your key objective will be to further expand, develop and manage the ANZ Mining & Resources portfolio, implement strategies to grow and expand the business across ANZ and provide customers with quality assured, technically advanced raw materials derived from exhaustive research and the Company's decades of involvement across like industry sectors. The role is a constant mix of sales growth and account management while ensuring transactional and supply chain risks are managed to achieve commercial outcomes.
Critical Responsibilities
- To further establish rapport and build strong relationships with customers in the Mining & Resources industry.
- Ensure profitability is maintained and risk is effectively managed for the ANZ Mining & Resources division by driving the strategic objectives set and achieving the growth targets set out in the strategic plan.
- Provide support in identifying growth opportunities with new customers, new markets and new products.
- Broaden product range sold to existing customers through better understanding their needs and the capabilities of principals.
- Continuous improvement of technical knowledge.
- Management of pricing, supply, inventory, service levels and ongoing after sales support to customers.

You will be hands on with a talent for identifying areas of improvement and analysing and implementing smart pricing and cost reduction strategies that result in a win-win for Customers, Suppliers and the Company.
Key Experiences
- A passion for business building, identifying and capitalising on market opportunities and new customer acquisition
- Understand the mining and resources and mineral processing sectors, raw material production, supply, distribution, transacting and trading
- Ideally you will have knowledge of mining specific chemical additives, emulsions, resin products, fillers, binders, dust suppression, water treatment and raw material configuration
- Ideally experience working with supply chain to ensure the client expectations are met
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field will be highly regarded
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- Well-developed skills and experience in communicating value and influencing customers / pitching skills
- Outstanding attention to detail and diligence with strong time management and organisational skills
